Inside Mr. Denman's classroom you will find a number of things: You will find a fun, magical environment that is colorful and visually exciting. You will find many instruments being explored and mastered. Some of which are fresh and new to others with a little more "history." You will find innovative and immersive approaches to music education, such as moving with parachutes and scarves, playing modern music on bucket drums, and composing music on the Smartboard. You will find many different genres and styles of music - from classical to pop, and from around the world. You will find children who are finding themselves through music. They are learning about other cultures, moral values, historical connections, and their own beliefs and interests. You will find a community, formed by the bond only a musical performance can create. Most importantly, you will find joy, compassion, connection, and love.
