Our classroom is diverse and eager to learn. I have students from all over the globe, and our school is Title 1 with 99% of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch.
We started flexible seating in our classroom this year, and I am excited for all of my students to have pride in our classroom and feel safe in our environment. Growth mindset is big in our classroom, and my students take risks and think in a way that they can learn anything, they just need to keep at it an persevere.
With our school serving South Salt Lake's refugee population, students come in and out of our classroom often, as their families find new housing. I want my students to feel they have a consistent, safe, nurturing, and loving place they can come to every day while they're in our classroom community.
