I am a Chemistry/AP Chemistry teacher and really want to give my students the opportunity to be scientist by giving them authentic lab experiences. I work at a public school in Los Angeles Unified School district in a low socioeconomic community. My classroom is looking to fund lab materials so that the students can get more hand on experiences with science. The more students practice scientific processes the better they learn and improve self perception of what they are capable of. I believe my students are bright and talented individuals so I like to give them the best opportunities as possible.
