Most of my students don’t have access to technology at home because the parents cannot afford it. Therefore, all work assignments must be done in the school. Although students are advised to take advantage of the library system, transportation is an issue or the guardians are not available to take them. Since there is a specific time to spend on each computer math program weekly, I have to monitor the time so that each student can have a chance to beat the time limit.
Through the iPad, teacher can easily access any programs in which the students are using in class and see if they are wasting time while logging in the programs or if they are going over the limited time. The data must be printed on a weekly basis and turned to administration to ensure that all the students meet the required time weekly.
This year I tend to increase my students math scores. Technology will play a significant role in increasing math scores in my classroom. Technology will allow them to build fluency in operations because of the computer programs we are currently using in our school district.
