I have a very diverse populations of students in an urban school with students from over 40 countries from around the world. I have a high percentage of students identified as ESL as well as many more students from lower economic backgrounds resulting in a lack of technology at their disposal in their homes.
There is a large immigrant population, and a high number of students receiving free and reduced lunch. Yet despite the wide range in the economic makeup of the school at large, there is a very vibrant sense of community. The school works cohesively across grade levels for school and community fundraisers, being recognized nationally for our different Honors Societies and a competition through "Celebrate My Drive".
