Having an iPad Pro will allow for a variety of differentiated learning structures in my classroom. The iPad Pro will be used as the wireless control center for the classroom. Some of the applications that will be used are Apple AirPlay in conjunction with my Apple TV & SmartBoard, Smart Music, Tonal Energy Tuner, ForScore, GoodEar Pro, Theory, Sight Reading Factory, Simple Music, iReal Pro, Vic Firth, Drillbook Next, Anytune Pro, YouTube, & Charms. By having access to everything in one device I will not have to fumble around the room looking for documents, or even leave the podium to take attendance. It will all be at my fingertips which will allow me to spend more time teaching. My Students will benefit from this because it will allow me to provide them with more opportunities for individualized instruction which is a rarity in an ensemble classroom. My project will make a difference because, as I said before, these students are the digital natives. Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more.
