My students love our new class pet, Bob the bunny. He was given to us due to the fact his family could no longer care for him. Bob is loving the students. He is litter box trained so he pretty much hops around the classroom all day and interacts with the students.
Bob has been a great addition to my classroom and has really become part of our classroom community.
The students sit with him, pet him, brush him, and feed him everyday. Bob currently has a cage that I feel is too small for him. I love that he is able to roam the classroom daily, however returning him to his cage at the end of the school day breaks my heart. Not to mention on the weekends when he is cooped up the whole time with a limited amount of space to stretch his legs. I set up this project in hopes of supplying Bob with a new rabbit hutch which will allow for the additional space he deserves to be comfortable. I also included some of the supplies which will make Bob's new home even more cozy such as bedding, food, litter, and a few toys.
