Our school is in a low-income area where around 65% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Our students are energetic and enthusiastic, but are limited in their musical experience by the available materials in class. We are fortunate enough to have some hand bells, boomwhackers and some worn hand drums. However, we are sorely lacking in other materials, especially mallets instruments. My goal is to be able to provide an enhanced musical experience with a variety of instruments and materials to give students as much of a creative outlet as possible.
