My students are an awesome group of ninth, tenth, and eleventh graders who are eager to learn and put forth great effort in class. I work with a large culturally and linguistically diverse group of learners. My students attend a high school school where 17% of our students are English Language Learners and 97% of our students receive free or reduced priced lunch.
My students are learning to make sense of problems and persevere in solving them, reason abstractly and quantitatively, construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others, model with mathematics, use appropriate tools strategically, attend to precision, look for and make use of structure, along with looking for and expressing regularity in repeated reasoning.
