My students come from low income families. Most of them know about smart phones, but use their parents' smart phone to play games or to talk on the phone with family. For some of these students the only technology they deal with is the technology in school. Sometimes, even dealing with a computer is a new experience to these students, and they enjoy the days that we are able to go to the computer lab. In today's world technology is in everything from paying at a store, to ordering goods online, or even communicating. It is important to set our students up for success in life, and expose them to different technologies in life.
