Gone are the days of individual desks, and thank goodness! To effectively grow and learn, students must challenge each other academically through enhanced discussion, collaboration, and accountability. They must be able to talk about their differing opinions, question each other's thinking, and learn to be open when they are struggling with a specific skill. To do this, though, they cannot work alone! It is my desire for my classroom to be filled with round activity tables, so that my students can experience this type of learning. I want my students to feel like they are a part of a proactive and supportive community, rather than a room for completing work. I want them to share in each other's success and celebrate each other's differences. I want them to enjoy learning! But to do this, I need your help.
