My typical Midwestern school serves roughly 400 students from kindergarten through 4th grade. Over 80% of them are low-income. Many of them come from struggling families and communities. Despite that, they are ambitious students. They work hard at school and in the gymnasium, and are always excited to try new things. Our school's PE program has not had school funding for new equipment in at least 4 years. We provide opportunities for boys and girls to do many activities and we are trying new things every year. I would love for our children to finally have the opportunity to utilize some new materials that are in good working order and that they can us in the gymnasium while being safe.
