Students learn science best by doing science. Our small school is able to offer a variety of educational opportunities for students, but our science labs and equipment need an upgrade so we may provide a 21st-century science education for our students. Students will use the light and optics kit to observe how mirrors and lenses affect the path light travels, the sound kit to hear what it means for different frequencies to resonate, the electricity kit to build series and parallel circuits, and the magnetism kit to determine what makes a magnet strong or weak. Engaging in these activities will deepen student understanding of these concepts and spark student interest in further scientific studies.
Our school is excited to be able to offer a new physics class for more advanced students. These resources will allow us to prepare students to be successful in this new course, and be adequately prepared to pursue college-level studies in physics.
