I teach STEM courses, focusing in Robotics, Computer Science, Biology, Anatomy, and Environmental Science. My students are a very diverse group who come to school in the heart of mid-town Manhattan. Many of them are from low-income families, as our school is listed as a Title I ranked organization with approximately 1300 students. Class sizes vary, but on average we have 25-34 students per class section.
I teach all grades of students, from 9-12, with a range of abilities and interests in different facets of STEM.
For 3 years we have been operating two FIRST Robotics teams, FRC 7272, Envirobots, and FTC 14734. These teams use our small makerspace shop and additional classroom, that we are continually working to expand in it's capability to design and fabricate for classes and competitions.
