These robots will help my students build academic skills by being able to use the robots to practice letter sounds, vowels, clusters, and sight words. These robots will work well in conjunction with our Fundations phonics program. They can also be used for several math lessons as well as a measurement unit.
In addition to academic skills, students will develop coding, collaboration, and communication skills. Students will develop these areas by working together in groups and independently with the robots during classroom lessons, centers, and independent time.
Coding is no longer a buzzword but a necessary skill for students regardless of how young. This will allow students early exposure in a non-intimidating way along with being able to practice skills and collaborating.
