Communication and independence are important aspects of life that my students must work on every day. The use of technology enhances the everyday learning and personal growth of each of my students. From Autism, to Multiple Disabilities, Intellectually Disabled Moderate, and Intellectually Disabled Severe, my students require assistance communicating and accessing the curriculum. Technology, such as an Apple iPad, improves not only the education of my students, but also the life of each of my students. The best example is of my student who has Hunter Syndrome. His joints are greatly affected throughout the day, as evidenced by stiffness in his walking. He still finds joy in being at school even with his discomfort. His condition also affects the length of his life, and so we hope to make everyday more and more meaningful as he learns and improves the quality of his life. Each child here thanks you for your gift.
