Welcome to Team Montero! My class of 5th graders is a group of tenacious, dynamic learners who have impressed me with their perseverance this year. My school is largely English learners and very poor. Our campus is old and dilapidated, but as I have taught my students, appearance can be misleading! I am a member of the National Science Teachers Association, as well as the California Science Teachers Association and am constantly searching for new ways to make science engaging and compelling, and find myself continually on the lookout for ways to expand our thinking. My students and I are both AVID and Project Lead The Way participants, determined to show the world what we can do!
