Having new and more current books will encourage students to read. Due to out of date books, there is a lack of interest for our Media Center. I want to make the Media Center the heart of the school once again. Having these books will engage students to read based on their interest.
Our students crave the knowledge that can only come from reading a good book. The newer, current books can be incorporated into classroom lessons that explain the fundamentals of reading. Using characters and stories that interest students will engage them in lessons that will help them learn.
