In my classroom, there are 33 4th grade students (24 general education and 9 special education) all at different levels. These students come from a low social economic status and military background. My students are very intrigued by technology and have been practicing developing platform game levels using a variety of apps on their iPads. As a class, we have also been working on programming games where the students need to develop a sequence of commands that a character carries out. After showing them the coding apps on the iPads they were craving more. My students have a desire to learn more about coding and the science and math that is involved in the process of developing these programs.
