My class has a strong need for headphones. Though headphones were on the supply list to start the school year, many students started school not able to afford headphones. These headphones are critical in using Chromebooks in class. Students daily interact with programs like Zearn (Eureka Math), Successmaker, Google Slides for research and presentation, coding, Spelling City, and Raz Kids.
It is extremely difficult for 25 students using Chromebooks if they cannot hear the programs or try to listen with quiet volume which tends to distract others. The need for headphones has increased as the year has progressed. I have even collected headphones I had at home to replace broken or non-existent headphones. I am excited to have an opportunity to solve this problem.
