My students are in a dual language program. This means that roughly half of them come from English-speaking homes while the other half come from Spanish-speaking homes. Together we are learning from each other to speak and read in Spanish and English in all subject areas including math and science. These students are truly amazing! They constantly help one another when they do not know how to say something. Language and co-learning in our class is what is helping us become bilingual, biliterate, and truly bicultural. In our class, we are all different, but we are all equal.
