Hello!
My name is Spencer Sands and I teach 12th grade art at a school in Los Angeles. My students work with a wide variety of media, from charcoal and graphite, to watercolors and acrylic paint. They will also be exploring the application of art and design in the "real-world" by looking at and trying out tasks related to specific arts professions. On top of the visual arts these scholars create, they also investigate the visual history of humans. They have looked at the cave paintings of Lascaux, the hieroglyphic practices of the Egyptians and Maya, and researched the Renaissance masters as well as much more.
