I am a 5th Grade teacher in San Jose, CA. Our classroom is made up of a creative group of 33 students (34 including myself) in a one to one chromebook environment. Our class speaks over 8 different languages and strive to make every student proud of their heritage/culture. We strive to build a culture where everyone feels safe to fail, to try again, and to celebrate the smallest victories. We love to try new things and take chances even with a high chance of failure. We enjoy incorporating technology into lessons when we can and when it makes. We do this to reach an audience beyond our classroom walls and to expose ourselves to experts we might not otherwise find ourselves lucky enough to speak with. Global Read Aloud, Digital Penpals, and Google Hangouts are a number of ways we connect outside of immediate community. We have fun, we laugh, and we learn all while aiming for our personal best.
