My students attend school in an urban school district located in South Central Los Angeles. My 6th grade students come to school everyday waiting to learn new and exciting information. They are kind, hardworking, and persevere regardless of the many situations they live through on a daily basis. Unfortunately, poverty in our area is a constant issue that we face. Currently, more than 88 percent of the students attending our school qualify for a free or reduced lunch. However, the students are eager to learn new things, intrigued by technology including the information they can obtain from it, and most importantly, its varied uses.
