Research indicates that students who participate in school activities are more successful in school and have a better school experience than those who do not. In addition, many of our students have family members who cannot attend contests or performances for a variety of reasons. To showcase our students for those who cannot attend and to promote the many activities we have available for students, we have created RailsTV which is a student-run broadcast program.
We would like to get a DJI Phantom 4 Pro to be able to develop our broadcast class for the commercial side of the broadcast industry. By having the same types of footage that the big agencies are using, this will open a door to many new avenues for our students. By our students having the ability to make graphics, commercials and more, it will add another side for them to become more fluent in the marketing part of broadcasting.
This would also give our students in activities, the ability to revisit their performances after the event to see how they can get better at their craft. By continuing to add more equipment to our program, it will undoubtedly help us get more students involved in the activities our school provides.
