Having this technology will improve the current layout of the classroom. The layout (as seen in the previous picture) only allows me to write on half of the whiteboard and that half is split into two equally inaccessible parts. Students need to be able to see the board without glare and obstacle distraction. With the projector, I will be able to write directly on the screen and not worry about having to write on either side of the board AND keeping the questions on the screen for reference.
Having the IW2 projector will be both cost and space-efficient as we will not need to purchase a $2500 SMART board AND it will allow students to see everything on the center projector. SMART technology is the tech that every teacher wants in their classrooms, but without a lot of funding or a district that will support technology, we do not have vast technology budgets.
