My students are diverse and offer a variety of strengths and challenges. They are playful, curious, eager, and worthy. Mostly 9th graders, my students are offered Foundations of Math based on performance from middle school or a need of special education services. Foundations of Math runs concurrently with Math I and helps give added support to the curriculum. These students have the most need for support in this area; however there are no resources available. We have raised money for used calculators but many have not lasted the months. My students deserve the equity and reliability of new calculators. 10 calculators would give us close to a class set with what we have already collected. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
