My classroom is a high school history class that focuses on Politics, Government, United States History, Psychology and Sociology. I regularly have 100 to 150 students a year in a small rural school setting. My students focus on engaging with history, not simply learning about it. We dive into primary source readings, discuss varying view points and investigate events from history and today to evaluate their causes and impacts. I also get to work with students on Introductory level courses in Psychology and Sociology, exposing them to new ideas, theories and discussing different cultures and their influences and impacts on the world.
