Children shouldn't have to come to school with only food on the brain because they don't have enough at home. Students can't learn if they're not engaged, and they cannot be engaged if they're hungry. These pantry items will go home with students in need to provide them with food in the evenings and over the weekend. They will also be available for students at school during the day if they are in need of a snack.
In our school community, we look out for each other. Our students need our help to feel safe and comfortable both in school and at home. We can do that with food. Filling their stomachs, and opening their minds.
