When students ask for materials, pencils, pens, looseleaf and notebooks are often the materials that come to mind. While they are important, anyone who knows middle schoolers knows snacks are also one of the top classroom essentials.
We don't want grumbling stomachs to be the reason students are distracted from reaching their full potential. By having snacks on hand, we can easily change the trajectory of our students' day. The smallest of gestures can make the biggest difference. I am requesting a variety of snacks including granola bars, chips, cookies, and crackers to have readily available to our scholars.
