Make the possibility of college a reality. I teach 11th grade English and AP English Literature at an inner-city high school in Downtown Los Angeles. The curriculum at our school is standards-based, meaning students' grades are based on their level of proficiency and nothing else. Extra credit does not exist at our school. Students must truly earn the grade they desire.
