My students are 8-to-9-year-olds with a mix of students with special education requirements and students at general ed level.
We are a Title I school, and the students come from low-income homes, but they are my wonderful learners.
They come in every day with challenges, and I am excited to make their day better. Some students in the class deal with homelessness, some have to fend for themselves at home while parents are working, and some live with other family members who are raising them. My kids deserve the best, and I want to give it to them. Unfortunately, I can't do it alone.
