I am a 6th grade teacher in the Alisal school district in Salinas, Ca. The school where I teach is in a high-need community. There is a strong gang presence in the neighborhood and my students are looking for a safe alternative. My school does not receive extra funds, so we have to rely on our students to supply basic materials. With your support, our students will have the tools necessary to prepare them for what lies ahead!
