I teach an amazing crew of 140 students about the wonders of science: from energy to biodiversity to weather, we learn about how everything is connected on our only home in the universe, Earth. The students I teach come from diverse backgrounds but they are all hard workers who want to succeed no matter what. My goal in the classroom is to have them develop a basic understanding of science and to question everything - why and how does something happen? What does this do? Where can I get information? - so that they can become passionate learners and citizens of the future. I know that I've accomplished this goal when they leave my classroom with more questions than they entered, but come back later to tell me the answers they found.
