My students love the time of the day for read aloud and then they like to follow up by reading the stories I have read to them. The books I have selected are books that will bring to life the growth mindset that I hope to instill in my students.
"Becoming is better than being", is the main sentiment expressed in Bubble Gum Brain by Julia Cook. My students will love hearing about the main characters; Bubble Gum Brain and Brick Brain. I can hear them referring to them to show their growing understanding of a fixed vs. growth mindset.
