My students need digital scales for many of their science lab activities. Getting the digital scales will help them get more accurate data and do their lab activity faster.For middle school Next Generation Science Standards curriculum, many of the lab activities involve use of scales. Given the standard short class time for lessons and lab activities, digital scales will increase the proficiency and accuracy of data while reducing the time to collect data when working projects that involve taking multiple readings for mass during a lab activity like proving Law of Conservation of Matter or Energy has no Mass. Getting 8-10 mini ipads, lab coats and safety glasses would be few other items on my list. Exposure to some of the apps on these digital devices can open up a whole new world for them.
