My 22 amazing students are from a low-income/high poverty area Title I school. We have 100% of students receiving free breakfast and lunch. Our school gives out 50 food bags every Friday to families in need of food for the weekend. We also give away produce once a month, provide clothing to our families in need, and have eye care where they get their eyes examined and glasses provided free of charge.
Many of my students entering Kindergarten are English language learners and have never been in a classroom or attended school before and may be the first time away from their parents.
Being in school is a whole new experience for them.
My students are excited, enthusiastic and full of life! I want each student to enjoy learning and have fun experiencing all that Kindergarten has to offer! My students are encouraged daily to learn, explore, and take chances, increasing their confidence in themselves and in school.
