Sixth graders need different options of seating to continue to engage students in learning. Being in the same classroom 6 hours a day limits engagement in the classroom. Therefore, it is important to keep students moving and giving them different options in seating. Studies have proven that giving students the ability to sit where they feel the most productive will increase student learning, productivity and engagement.
Flexible seating allows students to become responsible, 21st century learners! As a second year teacher, this project will help to provide desk bands, wobble cushions, stools, lap desks, and exercise ball chairs. By providing these items we are putting the choice back into the hands of students. Thank you in advance for considering a donation and helping to make an impact on the success of my students for years to come!
