My school is located in the heart of a low-socioeconomic neighborhood. Our school makes the students feel like they are at home. Each teacher is extremely passionate and is determined to "reach all and teach all." We try to expose the students to many things that they may not get to see or get to do in their home life.
Technology has been the biggest eye opener to our students in the school. Unfortunately, many of our students do not have access to various types of technology in their homes. In my Special Education Pre-k classroom, there are 20 students and 1 computer. Having mini iPads in the class will motivate the students to want to engage more in activities as well as interact more with both their peers as well as the adults.
