My students are mostly English Language Learners who strive with hands-on experiences. Being able to have tangible items in my classroom that students can touch and move around will help my students flourish and grow in math. The second grade curriculum highlights money and telling time and since we do not talk about this in fourth grade, this will all be very new to me. So having hands-on materials to support these standards will not only be beneficial to my students, but they will also be beneficial to me as well.
