90% of my students are below poverty and qualify for free or reduced lunches. These Oklahoma kids have world class dreams and ideas. The struggle is real in challenging these students with limited resources due to state budget cuts. I know what they are capable of but because of state budget cuts, times are tougher than ever to provide the little extras that will level the playing field for them as they progress into the "real" world. This donation will not only allow them to be successful in my class but will also provide enrichment for their gifted and talented programs. These students come from a long line of hard workers who have amazing work ethics. Please help me, help them to understand that there are people and companies willing and ready to see that they reach their goals and full potential. And, that they will, one day, "pay it forward!"
