I teach the MOST AMAZING little people! Our class motto is "We can do hard things!" and they have proven they can by meeting all challenges with success! These children come from a variety of backgrounds but they ALL share a love of books! My school lacks the financial resources to fund individual classroom libraries and so I am ready to meet this challenge by asking for support from YOU! I want to build our non-fiction library to support our Book Clubs and integrate science standards into our reading block. My school is focusing on closing achievement gaps in all areas and meeting state proficiency requirements. Our Book Clubs support this focus by creating students who have wide reading experiences and increased reading stamina which will enable them to meet the rigorous standards of the Common Core.
