I have amazing 4th and 5th grade students in general education, EIP, and special education with a high population of students who speak English as a second language. My students have a variety of gifts and challenges, each are unique in their own way. They have made great strides in math and love to learn something new everyday. We are an inner city school located in a neighborhood. My students come from low income homes with most of them receiving free and reduced lunch. Many of the parents of my students do not speak English at all and most of the learning that takes place happens in the classroom.
