I have the privilege to teach a wonderful group of first graders. They are very responsible and hard working. They always come to school eager and ready to learn. However, sometimes it becomes challenging for them to do that. They attend an inner city public school in South Los Angeles. It is a Title I school, which means the majority of students are from low-income families.
