My students need books in their hands that celebrate our differences! The books I have chosen provide mirrors that reflect my students so they can see themselves reflected in a book as well as books that represent cultures that differ from my students so they are provided a window into another perspective. My goal is to provide a variety of authentic and engaging texts to use along with my reading, writing, and social emotional lessons that teach my students tolerance and acceptance of all people. 2020 has been an eye opening year! Help me be the change and educate my students for a better tomorrow!
