I am a 26 year veteran teacher in a rural school district in Pueblo, Colorado. I teach 28 students who are hard working and enthusiastic learners. Our district is in the bottom 5% of districts in terms of funding, in Colorado, the 48th lowest funded state. Even with our lack of funding, we have excellent schools with high test scores. Our students come from a variety of home situations; from foster to single parent, to 2-parent homes. Each child is unique and I work hard to have each student reach their full potential. We learn life lessons about integrity, hard work, honesty, and personal best.
