Working with middle schoolers in special education provided many unique challenges. Although they look like any other middle school student, the work they’re able to complete independently looks much different.
Allowing there to be a balance is appropriate as a middle schooler and what the students can do independently is hard to do.
Providing my students with engaging materials allows them to find confidence after years of struggling in school. This confidence allows them to be successful in not only their special education classes but their general education classes as well.
