Scope magazine allows us to read relevant articles about what is happening in our world today. There are many different paired readings included so it crosses many different curricular areas as well. Additionally, it includes debates and poetry as well as activities to engage their learning and deepen their thinking about the world around them. I want my students to have more opportunities for reading current event articles. These magazines provide my class the opportunity to dive into current events and let my students have a voice in the classroom. It will encourage positive and rich discussions about topics in their world.
