I am requesting donations to help bring more STEM resources to my students that will assist them in feeling more like scientists. By having these materials in my classroom, I will be able to facilitate a collaborative style of learning and promote a sense of shared responsibility among the students while they learn and use science. Having these materials measures, generally showing higher achievement, higher-level reasoning, more frequent generation of new ideas and solutions, and greater transfer of what is learned from one situation to another.
Working together closely, as they would in a future career, students adapt learning to the real world, gaining problem-solving skills and ability to do a critical analysis of a given set of data. These skills enable the student to adapt to a constantly changing real-world STEM environment.
