Welcome to our 8th grade U.S. History classroom! We are a vibrant group of curious, hard-working students located in an urban district where the potential for growth and success is limitless. Our class explores the rich and diverse history of the United States, from the Indigenous peoples who first inhabited this land, to the Founding Fathers and the shaping of our government, to the stories of Civil War soldiers who fought to uphold the fabric of our nation.
My classroom is a place where every student’s voice matters. I aim to create an environment where all students feel empowered to engage with history, ask questions, and critically analyze the world around them. My goal is for students to leave this year with not just knowledge, but also the skills they need to become thoughtful, active citizens who are ready to take on the challenges of what lies ahead of them in high school and beyond.
